The Student Tutor is a platform to give you the best educational experience during your time studying in high school, university and beyond. Our core belief is that education does not need to be just related to school and exams, though that can be a large part! Part of our mission is to connect talented students who can explain arduous and complicated concepts in a great manner to other struggling students through our tutoring platform. Our tutors are carefully handpicked to deliver seamless and effective tutoring sessions online, using Zoom as our platform of choice for delivering lessons. But that's not it! We are not a bog-standard tutoring service but an educational companion for you during your studies. How are we unique, you ask? Well, we provide you with additional resources for each subject/course displayed on the website, weekly blogs and newsletters on subjects which affect your life and finally webinars with our talented tutors on how to ace your studies, prepare for life after studying, studying abroad, choosing your course at university and beyond (coming soon). In addition, our platform supports learning creative subjects like fine art and supports you to become a creative and independent learner in general! We believe that learning has no age limit so that anyone can join the platform as a student, but you are also welcome to become a tutor on the platform if you wish, and you will need to go through an application process to become a tutor.
The student tutor has been created by a tutor who is passionate about delivering quality lessons to students and teaching skills beyond the classroom walls, which are essential to a student's development academically and career-wise! From mathematics to choosing your course at university, we believe that even a single session can be of great importance to developing your confidence and knowledge on a subject matter and opening your eyes to different perspectives on a subject! We care about you as an individual, and so that is why we are open to feedback on all our services and how we can tailor them best for you!
In an ever-changing world and with people becoming busier and busier, online lessons and events, in general, have become ideal! We have learned many ways to streamline our online lessons and events, but we are still learning and developing. Some people might think, especially for the personal tutoring sessions, that online lessons are ineffective. Still, you can rest assured that some of our tutors have delivered more than 400 lessons online with great results! Online tutoring has become such a great tool for talented tutors to reach students from all around the world. Most importantly, it saves a lot of time that would otherwise be dedicated to travel and to meet up in person. That is not to say that in-person events and lessons are not great, and we would love to hold some in-person events in the future.
Everyone is welcome to use this service as a student, as mentioned above! However, the target group for tutees mainly includes high school and current university students. The tutor base includes university students and recent university graduates.
