Psychology is the study of the human mind and how it affects behaviours and perceptions. Not only does psychology allow you to learn concepts but it gives you transferrable skills such as critical thinking and research skills. Below you will find resources & tutors who offer psychology.
Physics courses at university explore subjects studied in school such as energy, atomic structure and electromagnetism in much more depth. The topics in physics courses (there is more than one course such as physics 1 & 2) can get complicated and intertwined as you progress throughout the semester. Below you will find tutors and resources which can get you through this tough yet enjoyable course!
Art is often taught in schools as an optional subject and can be thought of as something that needs talent. This is definitely not the case with many people who started learning painting, digital art & editing at a later age & mastered it. Art comes in many forms, such as photography, video editing, painting, crafts and much more. Below you will find resources if you are interested in a certain area of art, and we will soon have tutors who will be tutoring this subject.
Computer science is the study of computer hardware and software and how they function and interconnect with one another. This subject is usually taught in primary, middle and high school with an increased focus on understanding software programming at the later stages with languages such as HTML and CSS. This subject has become increasingly important as it is involved in almost all disciplines including history, biology and economics! Below, you will find resources relating to learning CS in general as well as tutors who are experts.
It can be difficult to find the major you want to study at university. Your school might not provide you with enough guidance on the different majors and they might just tell you to choose the standard options such as medicine, law and engineering. Though these are fabulous subjects which you might want to venture into, you might want to choose a subspeciality within these subjects or something totally different, but you are not sure where to start! We have all been there, especially when you have no peer support either! The best way to know whether you want to study a subject is to read subject prospectuses on university websites and most importantly speak to current students who are doing the subject you aspire (or thinking about!) to do. Below you will find tutors who offer guidance on their respective subjects and links to useful videos and university websites.
English language is a subject which is taught in many schools and curricula and is concerned with the grammar, speaking and general language development. Many students (whose first language is not English) tend to do English language tests such as IELTS and TOEFL towards the end of their high school education so they can gain entry to local and international universities. We have many tutors who offer general English language and IELTS and TOEFL tutoring as well as heaps of resources!
English literature is concerned with the study of texts from around the world, written in the english language. The texts may be novels, non-fiction, poetry, plays, biographies amongst many other forms. This subject gives an insight, primarily, into the culture and history of english speaking countries in the contemporary, medieval and classical periods. Below, you can find tutors and resources relating to this subject!
Arabic is a language taught in most schools in the Gulf as well as being taught as a GCSE and A-level in the British curriculum. It involves dissecting arabic literature and grammar to enable students to engage with arabic texts and speak in standard arabic (Albeit slightly different from some arabic dialects!). Many students fear the grammar part as it has proven notoriously difficult, but it is one of the most comprehensive languages in terms of expressivity.
Islamic studies is a subject that is often taught under "religious studies" in many schools and is concerned with teaching the Islamic history, laws and texts from the Quraan and hadith. Early teaching (up until middle school) focuses more on the basics of Islam such as the pillars of Islam with an emphasis on learning how to read the Quran.
